On the north side of Hinckley there is a subdivision that isn’t. The roads are built and everything is ready. But there are no houses. None at all. The entry roads are blocked off with Jersey Barriers. It is Subdivision Zero.
It’s impossible to enter the subdivision by car, which is really ironic. The intersections have stop signs in place, but no cars are there to stop at them.
Even the graffiti on the street remains unfinished.
The large berm created from all the extra dirt removed from grading is now covered in grass and plants, left for nature to reclaim it.
